Lairen Mathek was created during Atelier Mondial scholarship in 2018 in India in collaboration with the choreographer Surjit Nongmeikapam. It is the Manipuri word for the spine of the python and a symbol for eternity. Both dancers explore the potential of infinite movements in their own spine and understand each other as one body.
