Johanna finished her dance studies in 2016 at the HF for contemporary and urban dance in Zürich and graduated from the Master Expanded Theater at HKB in Bern in 2022. Currently she is finishing a CAS in Arts and International Cooperation in Fragile Context and Processes of Peace building at Zhdk Zürich.  Since 2016 she is also creating her own works, which are shown in different Festivals and Theaters in Switzerland, Europe, India, Turkey and Uganda such as ROXY Birfselden, Schlachthaus Theater Bern, Dschungel Wien, Theater im Pumpenhaus Münster, Gostner Hoftheater Nürnberg, FIT Festival Lugano, Zürcher Theaterspektakel, Kampala National Theatre, Dance Life Festival Nairobi, MUDA Africa, Daar es Salam, Khuli Kirkee Delhi, Khoj Delhi, TIFA Pune, Shoonya Bangalore or Istanbul Fringe Festival.

Johanna is winner of Atelier Mondial in 2018 and the winner of Double Tanz 2020 by Migros Kultur Prozent.  She is Finalist of PREMIO Switzerland 2021 and was working at Schauspielhaus Vienna, choreographing the Piece COMA with Marcel Schwald and at the Münchner Volkstheater, working as a choreographer for the Piece Alles ist aus, aber wir haben ja uns, directed by Bonn Park. Her work about Swiss wrestling was invited for the Schweizer Theatertreffen 2022. She was part of the ATLAS Programme at ImpulsTanz Vienna in 2022. Johanna was nominated for best emerging artist in the Theater Heute Kritiker:innen Umfrage 2022 and the Stella Award for best performance for young adults in Austria 2023. She is holding the multiple year grant for her company for the years 2024-2026 and 2027-2029 by the FA Basel Stadt/Land. Johanna is commissioned a Piece by TanzLuzern for the year 2027 and Lab Junges Theater Zürich for 2027.
